Ingredients
- 3 cups whole milk powder
- 2 cups cacao powder or cocoa powder
- 2 cups coconut sugar or maple sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
Optional:
- 1 cup finely chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients– milk powder, cacao powder, sugar, and salt. If adding chopped chocolate or chocolate chips, do so now. Mix until thoroughly combined.
- Transfer the mix to a ½ gallon mason jar or air-tight container, sealing the lid tightly.
- Store the hot chocolate mix in your pantry or a cool, dry place for 6-12 months. You can also freeze the hot chocolate mix in an airtight freezer bag for 18-24 months.
Notes
To Serve: Mix 2-3 tablespoons of the hot chocolate mix with 8 ounces of steamy hot milk, and stir until smooth! You can substitute with water– however it won’t come out as creamy! Top with marshmallows, whipped cream, or a sprinkle of cinnamon if you’d like, and enjoy!
