These homemade orange creamsicle popsicles are the perfect summer treat. Orange creamsicles remind me of childhood, when the ice cream truck would come around on a hot summer day. Unlike the creamsicle popsicles that come from an ice cream truck— these are made from healthy ingredients. No added junk, just pure deliciousness!
Why You’ll Love This Recipe
- It’s the perfect kid-friendly summer treat. It’s been hot all summer long down here in Arizona— and the kids have been craving cold snacks that cool them down. These homemade orange creamsicle popsicles hit the spot after a long day of playing in the sun. My kids are obsessed with these popsicles— and I feel guilt free knowing that they are made from healthy, simple ingredients!
- They’re made from healthy ingredients— and are high in protein too! These popsicles are made from simple ingredients that you likely already have at home. Orange juice, raw honey, whole milk, vanilla extract, and my secret ingredient that adds a boost of protein— cottage cheese! Not only do these homemade orange creamsicle popsicles taste out of this world, but they’re actually good for you too.
- They taste like childhood. Who else remembers playing outside as a little kid, hearing the sound of the ice cream truck coming your way, then quickly running inside to grab a few dollars to purchase a creamsicle pop? When I eat one of these popsicles— it takes me right back to childhood. Not only are these a great treat for the kids, but they’re perfect for adults too— because who doesn’t love that classic orange creamsicle flavor?
- These popsicles are super easy to make! This recipe comes together in under 15 minutes. All you have to do is juice the oranges, blend all the ingredients together, and pour into popsicle molds. Freeze for 6 hours or overnight, and voilà— you have homemade orange creamsicle popsicles.

Ingredients
Orange Juice- I highly recommend using freshly squeezed orange juice instead of bottled orange juice for this recipe. The fresh orange juice brings a fresh and bright flavor that can’t be compared. However, if you’re a pinch, you can substitute with bottled.
Cottage Cheese- Not only does the cottage cheese create the perfect creamy base for these homemade orange creamsicle popsicles, but it also adds about 50 grams of protein! Make sure to use full fat cottage cheese for the creamiest consistency.
Raw Honey- Raw honey is a natural, unrefined sweetener that is loaded with minerals and antioxidants. The fruity, floral quality of honey perfectly compliments the orange and vanilla flavors in these popsicles.
Whole Milk- Whole milk adds a touch of creaminess while making the mixture more pourable.
Vanilla Extract- To mimic the classic orange creamsicle flavor— vanilla extract is a must! Learn how to make homemade vanilla extract here!

Optional Add-Ins
Want to make these homemade orange creamsicle pops even more nutritious? I like to add 1 scoop of Equip Food’s colostrum powder, and 1 scoop of Equip Food’s collagen powder.
Colostrum is a bioactive whole food that repairs the gut lining and strengthens the immune system, among many other benefits. Collagen strengthens and supports your skin, muscles, bones and connective tissues (and adds an extra boost of protein to the popsicles!)
Adding unflavored colostrum and collagen to the recipe won’t change the flavor, and it’s a perfect way to sneak extra nutrients into your kid’s bellies!
